Drive Description

Welcome to another chapter of CO winter expedition drive series. In this desert expedition our objective is to reach Abu Dhabi to Dubai only through the desert. We may drive few kilometers on the road just to cross main highways. We will avoid tracks and chose sand dunes to make the drive more exciting.  We will start our journey from Al Fayah Abu Dhabi and drive towards Tilal Sweihan then Sweihan, Nagrah, Naheel, Ajban and finally Al Qudra Last Exit. We plan to cover over 200kms in this journey. Drive will be started 8.00AM in the morning and make few stops for coffee breaks and lunch. After the sunset we will setup our camp in the desert and enjoy a camp fire under beautiful desert sky. Next day morning we will have our breakfast then continue our journey towards Al Qudra Last Exit. We have to fully focus on the drive and travel with less weight with only essential supplies. Also we have to get up early and pack up quickly to begin next day drive. There are petrol stations near Tilal Sweihan and Naheel. We can refuel from there. Therefore no need to carry extra fuel. Since there are many exit tracks on the way, if anyone wants participate only one day, that option is also available.

In overland drives, the route will favor the safety of the drive and is more focused on developing the drivers' endurance skills, rather than on adrenaline and thrills, as the keys to true overland drives are consistency, mental focus, patience, and the choice of the best, cleanest routes. The nature of the terrain is complex enough that we'll have to overcome both technical terrain, as well as driving through tall dunes and deep bowls. All skills will be tested.
